Museum and School

The museum offers several exciting services to promote the collaboration with schools:

Teacher's Tours
As an introduction to each new changing exhibition we offer a free guided tour for teachers at 4.30 p.m. on the first Thursday in the week after the exhibition opens. Current dates can be found in the calendar of events and in our printed program brochures. Upon request, we will gladly send you our program brochure via newsletter. If you do not yet receive our detailed museum newsletter by mail or email, please feel free to subscribe here.

Annual School Pass
All schools have the opportunity to acquire an annual school pass at a price of 130EUR (elementary schools 75EUR). As a class group, all students and teachers receive free admission to the museum.

Extended Opening Hours
Upon request, the museum may open at 10 for school visits.

Subject Proposal for Your School Class Visit
Based on the exhibits, the museum provides a catalogue of theme proposals for your school class visit. These suggestions are constantly updated and announced by email and are divided into topics regarding the permanent Collection and topics related to the ongoing exhibitions. Teachers can book all of our subject proposals as a school class tour held by members of our education staff. These school tours lead you and your students through the exhibitions and are specifically designed for either children or teen audiences. Upon request, you can follow up on the tour with a workshop that helps your students gain an engaged and in-depth understanding of modern art. As a matter of course, teachers can also present the theme suggestions in a self-guided tour. In this case please remember to register your visit on time to avoid any overlapping of dates.
