Workshops & Events
The museum and its educational staff offer in-depth workshops and events for youths and teens that are inspired by the ongoing exhibitions and great new works from the collection. Upon request, these events can be suited to your specific requirements. The workshops consist of two parts: at first, a detailed and moderated talk is held in front of the exhibited art works. The presenter engages the participants in a discussion to bring out their individual impressions and examine the artistic intention that went into the exhibits. The respective technical methods used are introduced to motivate the audience to create their own pieces of art, which is then followed up on and explored either in team or individual work in the museum’s workshop rooms. Workshop (time 90 minutes): 46EUR supervision + 1EUR admission per child.

Children’s Birthday Party in the museum
This offer is for parents who want to present their children with a special birthday celebration that will be memorable for years to come. Children always experience the museum with a great deal of fun. At the center of attention is the birthday child, who, beforehand, decides together with our educational staff how the celebration will take place. Everything imaginable is possible, from a game of hide-and-go-seek in the museum to drawing and coloring games in the museum’s workshop facility, which can be combined with the eating of the birthday cake. Museum birthday (time 2 to 3 hours): 65EUR flat rate.

On request, our workshops and children’s birthdays can also be conceived and organized together with the Youth Art School Siegen-Wittgenstein.
